Spent the day with my parents, mostly with my father actually since

tpau was quilting with my mother. I keep thinking that my wife really shouldn't get along that well with my mother. So much for cultural expectations. I like spending time with my parents, but it always feels really weird, like I'm fourteen or so again. Ugh. Not a period of time I need to repeat. I had been planning to go see the free They Might Be Giants show at Brandeis, but decided against it since I hadn't seen my parents in a long time and it looked nasty and wet out. So of course we had the nicest day in weeks. And I am still it seems the only person who hasn't seen a TMBG concert, even though I am a bigger fan of them than anyone else I know. Blah. Maybe I can catch them this summer.

oh the guilt. I'm only a casual TMBG fan and I _did_ see them in concert... my freshman year they did an awesome concert at the hatch shell.

I don't have a "real" MIL, but I've frequently had dinner/gone to temple with

kromagg's mom when he wasn't even there. And had a lovely time. Pretty wacky. Maybe if we ever get married I'll have to cut all ties and whine about her or something? :-) ...
