[livejournal.com profile] tamarinne has gotten a terrible, terrible image stuck in my head: Iron Chef Klingon. Visions of live grub maki, spiny things in hot chili sauce, and poison worm phở are all well and good, but of all things sinister and repugnant to the senses, the worst must surely be whatever our Iron Chef has put in the ice cream maker...

Narn don't cook spoo.

Centauri cook spoo.

I said make, not cook, but anyway I believe that both species, as well as most of the known galaxy, enjoy them prepared in a wide variety of ways.

The assertion I have seen is that Narn prefer theirs fresh, Centauri aged.

All sentient beings delight in spoo, by definition. I believe the sole exception may be the Pak'ma'ra.

But shmoo -- ah, lovely, tasty, *useful* shmoo! Worthy of helping you in the kitchen before you devour them! Why, they'll jump into the salamander for you. Now there's a good theme ingredient.
