Busy fun weekend...

Before it all becomes a blur

Saturday went to asdr83's garbed picnic at Simmons, which was entertaining if too small to attract much student interest, and thence to rigel's birthday party, featuring lots of fun amusing people and a rather long-burning cake.

Sunday was all the Fenmere mythology classes/masked ball. The classes were good, although the number of people at the event that early was unfortunately small. Lots of the mythology gives me writing ideas... but that will wait for later. Went for sushi with richenza and jjjjack and returned for the ball low on energy. Did a fair amount of dancing and showing off my lazy-but-theme-appropriate costumery, and then many of us continued on to the lively post-revel for, well, more serious revelry.

Was underslept this morning. After muddling around ineffectually for awhile, headed to Harvard^2 to meet dreda for something approximating lunch plus some wandering around the square, caught up extensively and pleasantly, and then dashed off to be late for my own Hellboy mob. Very good movie, I recommend it if you haven't already been. Much like a summer blockbuster, only with better writing. Lots of fun.

Our mob hung out for nearly an hour afterwards chatting outside the theatre, thanks to the suddenly warm weather. I could get used to this, though the marathon runners might not have been so thrilled.
