I don't agree -- indeed, it's hard to imagine anything more fundamentally Japanese than that. And I have to admit, it sounds kinda good to me. (Although, admittedly, I'm a sucker for junk food...)

I like Pocky. I like green tea, itself or as a flavoring for other things, e.g. ice cream. I don't even think the product itself is bad per se, although it is not my favorite kind of Pocky. There's just something about chocolate and green tea mousse icing that sets off the Wrongness Receptors in the brain. This is true of a lot of things that I like quite a bit, they're just... wrong.
