So I finished up my armor (more or less, tweaking continues) and went to heavy list practice today. It's fun, I must do more of it. I managed to damage myself slightly... putting on my helm. The getting hit part was alright, but those inert lumps of metal are treacherous.

Ok, I tried to resist, but I can't do it. I have to ask: How exactly did you damage yourself, slightly or otherwise, putting on your helm?

Well, apparently I am not entirely alone in being betrayed by my headgear, but it was still pretty dumb: instead of smoothly sliding the helm onto my head, I misaligned it and caught my forehead with the back edge, leaving a nasty bump.
