haha. going through that myself now. Twice I have brought things to goodwill to dispose of today I discovered a whole new pile of things to bring. I can't count the trash and recycling though because I have been working on the sorting for two weeks now and I have lost track and there is still lots more to pack... It's not as bad as the time I moved out of a place I lived for 4 years... OTOH, some of the stuff I am tossing out now are things I moved out of that place and haven't touched since, other than to move them AGAIN. Each time I cull a little more...
When I moved back and forth this summer, I just dragged everything with me, but when it comes time to move out of the dorms for good in May I'm going to go through everything with a fine tooth comb. I'm not looking forward to it.
This applies in the small scale as well. One (twisted) benefit of the short-lived nature of computer jobs is that I actually have to clean my desk off once every few years...
