Alex is a pretty bright guy. He didn't give more detail in the original post and (humorously) deflected your inquiry to a technical issue in his response.
Perhaps he's given the level of detail he wishes us to have right now.

to specify what (.isHappy() == false) evaluates
to :)

as a statement i'm making, i think it can be assumed to evaluate true as much as any statement of mind could be.
but, of course, i could say
assert(!is_happy());
