Prince of Party

The party of yesterday: a picnic thingy at [livejournal.com profile] new_man and [livejournal.com profile] mermaidlady's. Very long, lots of fun interesting people with LJs who I will not enumerate here. A moderate amount of hot tubbing in the High-Tech Bubble Experience. Good food including Palio leftovers, and meat from [livejournal.com profile] new_man's shiny new grill. Also some entertaining, and mostly comprehendible, chatty brits.

The party of today: [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb's chance to show off his new grill. A bunch of fun Worcester folk I hadn't met, and some friends I hadn't seen in a while. Unexpected (by me) appearances by [livejournal.com profile] princess_muffin, [livejournal.com profile] baron_saturday, and [livejournal.com profile] mr_teem. Entertaining jello, er, well, not wrestling really, more like jello girly-fighting, but it was pretty entertaining whatever it was. Catastrophic plumbing issues kept [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb unfortunately preoccupied for much of the party, but everyone else had fun.

The party of tomorrow: BBQ at [livejournal.com profile] elizabear and [livejournal.com profile] dsrtao's. The food will have been great, the company will have been witty, and the fireworks will have been fireworky.

I was actually thinking about fitting in a couple of other gatherings this weekend, but I decided to take it easy.

Hmm... bummer. As nice as the gathering on the Esplanade was, I would have like to have gone to [Unknown site tag]'s. I don't read Shogun's LJ (maybe I should start), so I need to tweak Nuance about not posting about the party in her journal.

Jell-O wrestling is overrated.

Oh, I think I might have mentioned it in passing on Saturday, but I forgot that you now know them (and a couple of other people there). Then again, I knew you were planning to go the the Esplanade, and it's not exactly convenient to swing by Worcester afterwards.

Not your fault at all. I know lots of people (including some who had a party on Saturday, consarn them!) and this is a busy weekend. The lesson is, if I want to keep up on all the parties, I need to read more people's LJs -- or I need to be satisfied with the parties I go to (which I was).

Yes, yes, it really is.

Or were you speaking as an observer, rather than a participant?

[identity profile] new-man.livejournal.com 2005-07-04 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Why do you ask questions that you really don't want the answers to?

*is justifiably tweaked*

The important thing is that I WON the Jello wrestling!

Of course you did, dear. In Jell-O wrestling the woman with the largest, um, collection of Jell-O at the end is the winner. ;-)

Hee. Glad to hear the Prince of Party is keeping up appearances. :-)

It is a sacred duty - and I am the slave of duty.

well it may or may not be as fun as jello wrestling but it's something interesting to do this weekend that you and yours would probibly be interested in. lets make it a six-some. we are meeting some friend rob made at clark and her husband.
