I don't get it; there was no barrel jumping at all...

KHAAAN!

I mean

KONG!

I seem to have been in the minority in our party, in that I found it quite enjoyable. It was a bit over lengthy, to be fair. And of course the depth of plot and characterization were rather lacking, what with it being a hardcore action movie. Except for Jack Black, who really gave a surprisingly good performance.

It wasn't perfect but it was fun.

Except... any time you see insects, just look away for the rest of the scene, and your life will be a happier one.

What? A movie by the Lord of the Rings guy TOO LONG? You have to be kidding.

If I was only going to see one movie in the next few weeks, would you recommend it over Narnia?

Well, it depends a bit on what you feel like seeing. Narnia is all innocence and personality interaction, whereas Kong is bloody, acrophobic adventure.

I think for overall satisfaction, your odds are a bit better with Narnia.
