Scalable Computing Indeed
Yesterday Apple announced a bunch of nifty new things both software and hardware, all of which I immediately wanted. The star of the show, though, was a pair of new Aluminum laptops one bigger and one smaller than any current Apple models. They're really cool. One thing struck me about seeing them contrasted, though (take a look here).
That's right, they're just like the LOTR sets made for two different scales. Now I really want an ad with Elijah Wood and Ian McKellen, where you cut back and forth between them using a Powerbook, but at the end you see they are really the same height, just using differently sized laptops.

You've seen the photo of all the hobbit actors (wood, astin, etc) clustered around a flatscreen iMac? Actual shot from when they went to the NYC store after a screening of their film...
