You're right; I know all except #6.

#6 is "Street Fightin' Man" by the Rolling Stones.

But yes, they're all songs that virtually everyone on my friends list ought to be familiar with.

Then I probably shouldn't admit that I only recognized no. 3.

Well, I didn't say the majority of my friends ought to recognize the songs from those lyrics...

is it bad that i don't recognize a single oen of these?

I had to Google #5 (which I shoud've known) and #7 (which I'm not ashamed to say I didn't know). #2 bugged me for a long time. I could recite the lyrics that surrounded it, but not place the song. Eventually got it.

I was convinced that #3 was The Banana Boat song for a while. ;-)

Do I know all these songs? Sure. Did I recognize any of them from their lyrics? Only #6. Ah well.

I am an outlyer who lives in a cave. I recognized none of these. With Google's help, I found out I've heard #2, 3, 4 but never heard any of these lyrics (largely through not glomming onto more than a word or two at a time in any of them); recognized the name of the artist for #1, 6, and 7 but can't say I've ever heard them; and know neither the artist nor the song for #5. Should I get sound into my cave?
