GNE was lots of fun, with just about perfect weather. Fighting was poorly setup, but we made good from it. Late night partying remains excellent.

It must be the 'late night' part, that made it good. The early evening parts that I would describe as "partying" weren't good. There was much enjoyable socializing, chatting, etc. but no good partying. The few parties I found were... uninspiring.

It wasn't the parties so much as the partiers. The gypsy party and Thunder Mountain were both much like typical Pennsic parties, I thought, and thus decent backdrops.
