If i had known it would only take 2.25 hours to get back, I might have stayed to chat later with cat9. Ah, well, back now from the land of pretty foliage and copious tea. Wonderfully relaxing place.

I might have done... VT has crazy fast roads though. I was in an 89 zone most of the way back, and then 93 - or something like that.

It's certainly not your fault that I'm too busy to go gallivanting off to see my old friend Cat9. I'm the one who decided to do this show, and I'll reap the rewards (if any).

That does not, at this point, in any way diminish my desire to beat you senseless in an envious rage. I remember free time...

Speaking of which, can I borrow you for a couple of hours on Sunday, 10/1 during the day? It's load in and I could really use an extra set of hands or three.

That's "not even close to middle-aged friend". I was referring to the age of our friendship, love. Not your age. Friendships are measured in dog years. If you can still stand talking to someone after 5 years, it's a pretty solid friendship. After 10 years, you get to say "old friend".

And, yes, if you'd like to come down off the mountain, please do so. I'd suggest you come down for the show on Saturday, 10/21... but you're probably busy. You could come for 10/14, and then we could loiter and laze together on Sunday.

Sunday, 10/15 is Falling Leaves, which might have some appeal of its own...
