Oct. 9th, 2002 03:58 pmI went to a job fair at my alma mater today, since reputedly many of the large corporations present were looking for recent CS grads. Almost a total waste. There were maybe half a dozen companies that were hiring in even vaguely my field, and only 3 moderately decent prospects. On the plus side MIT's Lincoln Lab was there and hiring in force, but since they are in general more focused on physics and electrical engineering (so why promote at Brandeis? I don't know) I probably don't have a real chance. It seemed like such a good choice of industry 3 years ago...
tpau and I are going to CN for her mother's birthday tonight, should be about 3.5 hours driving total, and we'll be back pretty late. Not that it matters, I have nothing pressing to do tomorrow anyway. C'est la vie. Or in this case le manque de la vie.
