one week

After Monday's auditions, I got mysteriously cast as Philostrate, a role I neither requested nor read for.

Tuesday I checked out an Aikido dojo in Cambridge I am thinking of joining. It looks very promising, with a good variety of classes. What's more, the head instructor was one of the last students of Aikido's founder.

Wednesday was session two of our Babylon 5 viewings. I thought that watching the first season again I might not be as enamored of it now, knowing the answers to all of the mysteries presented, but in fact I still think it's the best season, in several ways.

On Thursday we worked on getting some more holiday stuff dealt with (where does all the time go?).

Friday was [livejournal.com profile] meta's game, which left us in the middle of a Bad Place for the next month until we game again.

Saturday [livejournal.com profile] tpau and I spent with my parents. She was engrossed in quilting, and I... well, hung about, mostly, but I did vaguely learn to knit so I'd actually be doing something.

Sunday was [livejournal.com profile] ladysprite's birthday, and she hosted an immensely fun party. Prominently featured were gingerbread house decorating (I'd really like pictures of the goth-gummibear-invasion house), an exhaustingly fun game of Encore, and listening to some very good filk. Plus the usual discourse ranging from Buffy to baked goods. And a very cute ball python named Orpheus.

So there's a week of activities. It actually seems much more full and interesting when I leave out all the tedious daytime bureaucracy.
