Well, the weekend was fun. Last Thursday [livejournal.com profile] tpau and I went to CT to have second seder with her family, which was interesting if perhaps not as comprehensible as I would have liked. Woe for the passing of my skill in Russian.

Saturday we went to Anime Boston, watched a bunch of cool anime (surprisingly enough), bought a bunch of new DVDs, and even picked up some Pocky, yay. We had a pleasant dinner at Legal's, and then we went to the cast party for Midsummer, which was all around lots of fun. Even watching my own bits on video was not as painful as I expected.

Sunday we elected not to return to the convention, and spent the afternoon cleaning and brewing instead, with decent results. Gewurztraminer underway. Evening was the usual Sunday gaming group, a pretty interesting session, though still a bit bland I am finding.

Monday [livejournal.com profile] asdr83 came by to work on sewing stuff all day, so I let Girl Time take its course and hung out with [livejournal.com profile] laurion, [livejournal.com profile] dkapell, and [livejournal.com profile] arawen. Aside from generally screwing around, we played quite a bit of Super Smash Bros., which I think is possibly the best party-oriented console game I have ever seen. If you are familiar with Nintendo's body of characters, having the chance to pit them against each other in funny ways is worth spending a large number of hours on.

Tuesday was pretty dull, but [livejournal.com profile] dkapell and [livejournal.com profile] knobhdy came over for dinner and Buffy (we hadn't watched the previous week's yet), and an evening of hilarity ensued.

Today... well, it's been a pretty unpleasant day all around, and I am glad that I can go to bed now, with some possibility of things not sucking quite as much tomorrow.
As further evidence that yesterday was my Bad Karma Day, I crashed the LJ update script while posting (note to self: umlauts don't work here). Then I broke it again in a different way, but eventually got it to post my update. So for good measure it did it twice. Of course, it would be easy enough to delete the last entry, if the server admitted it existed in my entry history. Once wrested from the server the entry refused to be deleted by me on the grounds that it wasn't owned by me. So I went to bed, and this morning it works fine.

I guess I should have been suspicious after I crashed a self-checkout register at the supermarket in the afternoon. Actually, I double crashed it, since it crashed again trying to print a crash report. Joy.

My bizarre chaotic effect on electronic systems is not particularly new, given that my biggest problem with my last watch was figuring out how to reboot it after I got it to die spectacularly. Nonetheless, the frequency of annoying errors from yesterday just adds a surreal perfection to it, like the Platonic Ideal of suck.
