went to the chocolate bar. thought about spoons.

long day. lounged around a bit in the morning with tpau, then headed off to the chocolate bar expedition. truly stunning amounts of chocolate. chocolate crepe station with chocolate fillings, chocolate croissant bread pudding, chocolate creme brulee... an exhaustive exploration of cocoa decadence with some very good company. i also sent a waiter to get richenza out of the kitchen so we could wish her luck on the grueling valentine's workload.

then we headed off to the Black Rose Ball with cristovau, got lost a couple of times, got there late, grabbed some mediterranean dinner (ah, wondrous non-sugary-creamy foodstuffs!) and generally spent not much time actually involved in the ball. fewer people there this year that i knew, or knew well, so it was all a bit ho-hum. pondered going to the post-revel back in alston, but turned out was thoroughly exhausted anyway. now for the sleeping.
