Interim catch-up
Nov. 12th, 2005 09:38 amSince we last left our heros they went down to New Orleans, had a whirlwind 24 hours there, and started heading north again.
I just woke up in Fort Payne, Alabama, where we crashed after the first leg of our journey. From here the plan is to wander up to DC by way of Chatanooga and Knoxville, hang out there tonight, and finish up from there to home tomorrow.
There was a lot of interesting stuff in New Orleans, both good and bad, but if I am going to reflect on it at length I will do so later. We spent time with fun people, did a final few good works delivering supplies passed on from Waveland, and did little tourist things like eating beignets on the levy. It wasn't all fun and games, but I don't feel like writing about that now.
Back home tomorrow. It only feels like it's been twenty years.
