dkapell, knobhdy, and H, which I have not gotten to do often enough of late.
Saturday was the Snooty Food Gala, which was a great excuse for black ties and tasty morsels. A surprising cross-section of different circles of mine, and lots of interesting people I didn't know but clearly needed to.
Sunday we were supposed to go carve meat and play around with sauces for it, but the weather being what it was we decided to cloister ourselves with the DVD player. It's been a long time since we spent a day together doing nothing, and it was a good thing, if not something we can repeat soon. Much to be done now.
