Mar. 19th, 2006 11:54 amWent to NY yesterday, knocked around midtown with
doozer4200 and
kromagg, and saw Avenue Q. Lots of fun.
The show pretty much rocked throughout; I had already heard and enjoyed the soundtrack, but I wasn't prepared for how good their live presentation is. The puppeteers in particular are extremely expressive, and the use of subversive Sesame Street style animated sequences is very effective. In general the bits that from hearing the songs I was not especially fond of were strong visual pieces, so I didn't really think there were any weak moments.
