Your tale of woe had me concerned about my pine nuts. If the company's website is truthful, the dumb little packets I can get at the local Shaw's (Melissa's) are from Italy, so for at least small batches of things here, I'm safe. I'm going to have to research before buying other brands for bigger projects. Let us know if you discover safe or unsafe sources?
