Apparently the bogeyman of heat kept many fighters away from this evening's practice (though no one should have expected 7pm to be as hot as full Pennsic heat), but the five* of us who showed up had really very nice weather for a couple of hours of good sparring. Patched glaive doing well, still need to tinker with gauntlets, basket hilt, and cuises - along with everything else still to get squared away.

*not counting his excellency, who appeared but briefly because he has quite a lot to get prepped in the next 36 hours.

For me, it wasn't the boogeyman of heat that kept me from fighting, but rather the actual heat that had kept me from doing much of the stuff I needed to do during the day. There's only so many hours before Pennsic, and too many of mine are filled with things I have to get done. Not enough are filled with things I want to get done, but there you have it...

Well, certainly not for vi. I just have a hard time sticking to a pattern without playing around.

(Pedantically, I might argue that "vi" is the text editor, distinct from "VI". Eh.)
