Chicago's a real nice city. Saw theatre, ate pizza (and gumbo), toured architecture, viewed art, and spent a lot of good time with friends - all in fine Chicago style.

Back in Boston, have had Halloween fun, have caught up on email (easy; hardly anything but spam); bed time.

For whatever reason (I blame "half-awake") I read that as "tortured architecture".

Oh, some of it was. There are several identical rectangular black Chicago monoliths designed by the same, extremely unimaginative, modernist architect. The only one for which it seems appropriate is the IBM building.
