catching up

Jan. 6th, 2003 11:33 am
It's been a busy and mostly fun couple of weeks, and I am just starting to get caught up with normal life again. Let's see now...

Christmas day I spent mostly cleaning the house, since all my relatives were out of town and [livejournal.com profile] tpau had to work. Less than fun. I know a lot of people dislike either the commercialism or the Christianity of Christmas, but to me it's never been anything but a semi-pagan yuletide chance to gather with family. The one expected positive point of Christmas was the arrival of [livejournal.com profile] berek from California, but alas Logan closed on account of White Christmas, and the day was pretty disappointing.

Fortunately, [livejournal.com profile] berek did arrive the following morning, and the three of us got to hang out quite a bit for the next week. That night (Thursday) we had a big B5 viewing, Friday [livejournal.com profile] dkapell came by and we played games and watched movies, Saturday [livejournal.com profile] berek went to play in [livejournal.com profile] arawen's game, Sunday was an all day B5 viewing, Monday [livejournal.com profile] whispercricket, [livejournal.com profile] arawen, and Chad came over and we all watched bad anime, Tuesday we went to the Buttery New Year's party, at which I think (hope) everyone involved had lots of fun, Wednesday we helped do inventory at Pandemonium. Thursday [livejournal.com profile] tpau had to go back to work, but [livejournal.com profile] berek and I went to visit Brandeis campus, and in the evening a whole mob of us got together for dinner at Ginza in chinatown to see Jodi and Maccabee who had come to town that afternoon. The three of us stayed up especially late Thursday night, since it was the last time we'd all be together. Friday [livejournal.com profile] berek and I hung out with [livejournal.com profile] dkapell in the afternoon, after which I drove him to the airport so he could get out just before the blizzard. We miss you already :-(

Oh, yeah, on Monday we also bought some random stuff, including a much more comfortable new leather deskchair for me, and a shiny new devilstick. ph33r m`/ 1337 5k!11z.

Saturday we caught up on B5 in advance (I am really starting to get overwhelmed) of the next day's showing. Sunday we went to Pandemonium to get some neat books, then the first Midsummer rehearsal (somewhat dubious about having auditioned), and D&D in the evening. I really wish we'd had another chance to see Jodi and Maccabee before they left today, but our schedules meshed poorly.

Ok, now back to the Real World.
