There's a distinct character to the jolt that a car makes when it slams into something. It is unique, and it is not pleasant; it sets off all the mental triggers that something is not as it should be. I could be very happy not to know that sensation again. Last night after a generally pleasant rehearsal
cristovau and I got into our cars and drove off... into each other. His car was drivable, with some seemingly cosmetic damage. We left mine in Dorchester with a possibly bent rear axle. Fortune has not been kind to either of our driving records.
On the bright side we had a long and interesting conversation while he kindly drove me home.
