Sep. 20th, 2003 01:51 amUp too late. Just finished watching The Godfather for the first time. Interesting movie, although I found myself comparing it quite a bit to The Untouchables. Even placing the setting aside, the central motif of falling into corruption is remarkably similar... and I happen to think The Untouchables is one of the best dramas ever put to screen. Nonetheless, I can see the reasoning by which so many rate Godfather as the Greatest Movie Ever. Hmm, time for sleep now, I think.

"Leave the gun. Take the canolli."

But no, it just means "the gun is evidence, but we need those canolli for later." Still not a bad line, just a totally different emphasis than I expected.
