laura47 mentioned this, and I am surprised I hadn't run across it before: Larry Wall on... well, Perl, of course, but mostly architecture, poetry, Utena, etc. If you're allergic to Perl you might not be interested. Then again:

How long till Bujold becomes required reading in high school? Far too

adorable perhaps, but a fanboy? i don't see it. larry's more of an equal-footing type. fanboys are all Modernists, you know.

Most celebrities are fanboys of other celebrities, which is one of the reasons things like the Awards shows still happen -- they like hanging out with each other the same as we would.
