I snagged a copy of Qntal III from [livejournal.com profile] dkapell today. It's hard to describe. Kind of traditional latin/german/spanish/french techno. Inhabiting somewhat the same musical space as Steeleye Span or The Mediaeval Baebes, but pushing both sides of the juxtaposition further in some ways. Heavily electronic Carmina Burana is a wondrous thing.

OooOOOOOoooooh, a techno "Maravillosos"! I'm in.

Traditional? AFAIK, all of those lyrics are period. There's only a very few of those lyrics I don't recognize off the top of my head.

(Gracious, a rock "Doussa Res"? There's something gloriously appropriate about that. "Doussa Res" is, literally, "Sweet Thing". Or would that be "Thang"? As in "Sweet Thang, ah think ah luuuuv you." 800 years, and nothing has changed in popular music but the hairstyles.)

I should add, that its not sold around here (the US) (i bought my copy from a guy in Minsk, from eBay) so if anyone wants to hear it, please let me know. it really is one of the coolest things i've found in a while.

Having grown up on Steeleye, I'm intensely intrigued. I'd love to hear it...
