Did the interactive MIT map always have snappy comment text while processing reloads? I never noticed before flavor text like "Please Wait - while a Seattle-based software company takes over the world," or "(It's not as if you have a choice)."

It's very cute. Also the array-out-of-bounds alert, "Unlike the world, the MIT campus is flat. You cannot go any farther without falling off the edge."

It's had it for a couple of years anyway.

I've seen those messages for as long as I've been here (year+)

Since the map first went up, as far as I can recall. A very *long* time.

Incidentally, they recently (within the past year) enlarged the map to include NE83 and NE125, which had not previously been part of campus. Before the enlargement, trying to get to NE125 would generate the "falling off the edge" error message.
