Stupidity abounds. So many things bug me about this. Not just the climate that makes this sort of litigation expected, nor the weak accusation, and the poor timing. The absurdity of the suit as a whole is really capped by the fact that possession and sale of Nitrous Oxide are legal. The parents must be pretty heavily in denial about their son. I only knew him in passing, but I know it wasn't MIT that was negligent.

I bet there's an insurance company in here somewhere making them sue. Trying to find someone culpable instead of saying, yeah, the kid was foolish.
