I've started watching Samurai Jack. Man, is this a great show. Every shot feels methodically crafted to eke the most out of its profoundly minimalist style. I also completely love the art style, which looks not quite like anything else I've seen...

The only thing I've seen with a similar style are the eSurance ads -- yes, I'm serious. It's not a style of animation I love. I'm more of a deco inspired traditionalist. I love the lush yet stylized Superman cartoons of the 1930s, and Batman: The Animated Series which was clearly inspired by them.

The Incredibles had a similar deco inspired look. I watch the credits just to see the super-simplified stylish depictions of scenes from the movie.
