Feb. 25th, 2004 01:38 pmGreat. My insurance company is billing me the $1K deductible on the grounds that being hit while making a three-point turn makes me automatically at fault. If I can successfully contest the decision through a painful hearing process, they will probably reimburse it, sometime in the future.
For now,
cristovau, looks like you're fully covered.
Update: I was wrong, the insurance will pay back any additional cost in higher premia that I may have paid before the hearing. They have a standard policy of never refunding the deductible.

Date: 2004-02-25 07:57 pm (UTC)However, my insurance company tried to jerk me around about towing fees and such, so I ended up talking directly to the other person's insurance company about the car damage. They were the ones that paid for everything directly - I would have thought that it would be better to subrogate to my insurance company and have them fight for me, but I was wrong (at least in my case).
