I am getting insomnia. Even when I go to bed exhausted, about 20% of the time I am totally unable to sleep. It doesn't help that yesterday was disturbingly, unseasonably warm, but it's not the first time recently that I have had to get up and do something. Not only can't I sleep, I can't lie still without going insane. Which of course drives me insane through sleep deprivation. Maybe I should take drugs, despite my dislike of them...

Exercise, ya doofus. You're not doing much but sitting around all day, and with these grey days it's no wonder your body doesn't know day from night.

I recommend jogging...I thought you were starting to jog anyway? Try to do 2 miles a day to start, and work up to 5 or so...

Also, sometimes your body can be exhausted but your mind won't let you sleep. Maybe try writing some stream of consciousness exercises to see if you can get what's keeping you awake out. Besides, isn't that what LJ is for? :)

half hour of aerobics. Always does the trick.

Try drinking warm milk. I can't say it's helped me sleep but the taste is sufficiently repulsive that I find myself preferring unconsciousness. :)
